End-to-end encryption does not equal privacy. End-to-end encryption is intended to prevent data being read other than by the true sender and recipient(s). It does not guarantee privacy. End-to-end encryption is only half of the story. If the encryption is not by default, like the majority of the apps, it creates vulnerability.
